New Visionary Podcast

I would like to start off by saying that dreams really do come true. It is an absolute thrill to be a guest on the incredible New Visionary Art Podcast. I have been a follower of Victoria J. Fry with Visionary Art Collective for a long time. She has also curated a virtual exhibition that I was a part of last year. And she interviewed me a couple years ago for her Visionary Art Collective platform.

In the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 I found myself diving deep into podcasts. I was sobbing, crying every time I turned on the news. As an effort to protect my mental health, I began listening to many podcasts about art. Through that process I learned about new artists and how the art world was navigating the new challenges that the pandemic brought. I also enjoyed art history podcasts and more artcentric topics. I remember re-potting/rearranging my succulent plants one afternoon while having a podcast marathon. I think I spent 5 or 6 hours in the project, so it was a lot of listening time. It was that day that I thought "It would be such an honor to be an artist guest on an art podcast someday. I hope to grow as an artist and to have the opportunity someday, so I'll add that to the life goals list". I really love listening to artists stories and about their process etc... And here we are. It happened. I am sharing my story and I couldn't be more excited.
