2 Close 2 the Sun

As you probably know, I am a member of an artist run gallery Mercury 20 Gallery in Oakland CA. During the pandemic the gallery started a pop up podcast and the most recent episode was moderated by me. This episode "Art & Community - A Mutual Enhancement" was inspired by my experience and the intentions I set when I decided to get involved in my local art scene.

Although the time that I am referring to predates the pandemic, this topic has grown even more important and relevant since the pandemic. So I thought it would be a good time to have this conversation. I invited a couple other artist members from Mercury 20 Gallery, Jill McLennan and Raymond L Haywood. As well as Jean Marie Durant, the executive director of Oakland Art Murmur in Oakland CA.
